Biting- A Learned And Often Avoidable Behavior

Biting can be a common behavior among parrots, and being in the parrot family budgies are naturally included, and what starts as a one time thing can easily turn into a habit.
With a few simple (and mostly painless!) techniques however, you can often change your "fids" behavior rather quickly and eliminate biting, or better yet, stop it before it even becomes a habit to begin with.

To do this though we need to think of things from a budgies view point rather than a human one, and make some immediate changes to our own behavior and how we handle him or her.

In the following article you will find how and why a budgie often starts biting, how to handle (and not handle) a bite, and some positive ways to encourage good behavior in your little feathered friend :)

I hope it will be helpful to a few of our members here!
