My female budgie sneezes a lot now....is she okay? And what should I do, because I don't think their is any avian vet here...

Where is their cage located? is there a lot of dust around by any chance?
Does anything come out when she sneezes like nasal discharge?

Zeena asked some great questions, with the answers to those we will be able to help you better.

Also, if you let us know where in Canada you are, I'm sure we can help you find an avian vet as well.

Hi. Can you let us know where in Canada you are. There are a lot of Canadian members here. Sneezing can be from a number of things. The most serious being a respiratory infection. Sneezing for longer than one day should be looked into. I hope the little guy is okay.

Their cage is in my bedroom. And I don't think anything comes out of her nose...I'm not sure.

Is it consecutive sneezing or just random at close intervals?

there was a period where my budgie would sneeze quite frequently and more at nighttime.. others advised it may be a respiratory infection ....so i took them both to the avian vet and they did blood work for both... and he told me it was actually probably due to them being over weight... as the fat was going up their lungs...so i started intensively trying to get them to eat pellets and fresh veggies in addition to their seeds... and they stopped sneezing excessively.. so i dont know..

Look at the top of her cere, just above her nostrils, if the feathers are stained that means that there is a discharge.
Does she have any other symptoms that would indicate an illness?
Such as a bobbing tail or being puffed up?
