Question Budgie Feet

Hi All
I've only had my budgie for about 4 days. I've started seeing that he'll lift his toes at random time really fast while he sits still on his perch. Is this normal? I'm a first time budgie only.

Welcome to the forum, Ok budgies rest a foot sometimes by standing on one leg pulling the other one up and scrunching the toes they even sleep on one leg very easily and comfortably. The forum has lots of great information pages for you to access, and you can ask any questions you like don't ever feel like it is dumb to ask that, or they will think that is silly! keep your little guy in a warm place cover the cage on three sides this helps him to relax and feel safe. Please post a picture soon so we can see your budgie and what is his name?

Welcome to the forum. Budgies also frequently raise either leg behind their head and scratch he side of their heads very quickly. Their foot is almost a blur. This behavior is entirely normal. Take good care of your new friend, he depends upon you for everything in his life. In return he will become your best friend and bring you years and years of joy and happiness.

Mark

OK. Here's a pic of my new budgie. Not sure if it's male or female.

Thank you Owlet!
