Account Responsibility
The owner of an account at TalkBudgies.com (the person who registered the account) is solely responsible for its activity. Account Cancellation
TalkBudgies.com does not have any options for a user to terminate their own account. This must be done by contacting an administrator. If a request to cancel an account is accepted, a permanent ban will be placed on the account. Accounts are never deleted at TalkBudgies.com, except at the sole discretion of the administration. If you wish to resume your account at any time, please contact us and we will unban your account. Creating a new account may result in an IP address ban.

Personal Information
By registering with us, you might be submitting personal information to the website. This information is kept private and is not released to any outside parties. Upon request, information will be given to authorities should the need arise. Information that might be collected includes, but is not limited to, e-mail address and date of birth. Optional information, given at the user's discretion, may include, but is not limited to, location, first name, and instant messenger contact information. All information may be displayed publicly unless the user specifically requests otherwise. The display of this information can be toggled in the User Control Panel.

Opting Out
Users who join the forum will automatically receive newsletters and other e-mail sent by the administration periodically. Should users later decide to opt-out from receiving this information, the option to be taken off our mailing list is found in the User Control Panel. Click on "Edit Options" and uncheck the "Receive emails from Administrators" box. Hit the submit button and you will be automatically taken off our mailing list. Should you choose to be put back on, simply re-check the box. Furthermore, users have the option of disabling this at registration, and they will never receive any e-mails from the administration.

By opting out of our mailing list, this does not stop the use of automatic e-mails. For example, a user opted out of our mailing list may still receive e-mail upon receiving a Private Message. These e-mails are automated and not sent by the administration. The options to opt-out of these types of e-mails can also be found in the User Control Panel.

Correct/Update
Any information submitted to the website (including, but not limited to, date of birth) is assumed accurate. If the information submitted is not correct, please contact the administration and provide the correct details. Changes will be made promptly.

Public Forums
All of our forums are accessible by the public, including non-members. With that in mind, use caution when giving out personal information. If it is absolutely necessary to give out personal information, it is advised to do so in a Private Message. However, be sure you can trust who you are sending the Private Message to, as even this is unsafe. Any information you would not want anyone to know should not be submitted to our forums or in Private Message.

Our forums are not intended to be a source of reliable information. While the information that is given may be reliable, it is highly suggested you consult a veterinarian for any serious questions you might have. Our members are assumed not to be certified to give sound information, even if they really are.
