How to reply to a post.
So, you have been reading through a thread and you see something that is interesting and you want to comment on it, or offer advice, this is how you do it:-
There are two ways to reply to a thread, the first way is to use the Quick Reply method:-
Simply type your message in the box and click on "Post Quick Reply" That will post your message as the last post in that thread.
If you have used the Quick Reply method and then find that before you post it, you want to do a more detailed post, click on "Go Advanced" and it will take you through to the more detailed reply form, you won't have to type what you have already typed again, it will be carried over automatically.
The second way to reply to a thread is to click on the "Post Reply" button, immediately under the last post on a thread.
Just type your message in the box and click on "Submit Reply" this will post your message as the last post on that thread. If you want to check how your post will look before you add it permanently, click on "Preview Post"
This will take you to a screen that shows how your post will look once it has been added. This is very handy if you are adding photos to your reply, you can make sure that they are showing up just how you want them to. Once you are happy with your post, click on "Submit Reply" and your post will be added.
If you are answering somebody who posted on another page, it can get confusing for somebody else to read, so you can quote the person that you are replying to, that way the conversation flows more easily.
To quote what somebody else has posted in order to reply to them, click on the "Quote" button at the bottom of the post that you want to reply to.
Once you have done that, you will be taken through to the reply screen as mentioned in the second method of replying. You will see that the post that you want to reply to has already been added in the message box, all you have to do is to type your reply underneath, once you have finished, click on "Submit Reply" to post it to the thread, or "Preview Post" to check it over before clicking "Submit Reply"
