Question How often do your budgies bath?

How often do your budgies get a bath?

Do you let them bath themselves or do you spray them with a bottle?

I bought a spray bottle that I use to mist them because my little ones are still afraid of the big purple bird tub LOL.

During the summer, I try to give about three baths a week. During the winter, maybe once every other week.

I both spray and let them soak in the sink. They seem to enjoy both.

I spray my budgies everyday with a spray bottle. I also have some bathing solution that I use about three times a week. You just need to make sure that it's a good distance away from them so it doesn't get into their eyes.

Actual sink or shower baths don't appeal to my budgies at the moment. Hopefully during the summer months, they will be more inclined to give it a try!

When I prep my birds for an upcoming show they get misted/sprayed until they are soaked through and dripping every day, for at least 2 weeks before the event.

We usually have a bath available for them most everyday, that way they can take it when they want. We also use the spay bottle on pud, jojo and frosty they love it.
Jojo and pickles love bath time

My birds like the salad way to bathe. I once left some wet greens in the salad spinner and my boys had a field day. They have their bath and can eat it too. This is about 3x per week in the winter and up to 7 in the summer, but they do not always take the bath.
