You can also provide a link to http://www.lisashea.com/petinfo/articles/bird_hand.html , since it's really helpful for taming budgies.
And since people should research a lot about budgie care before getting a budgie, so why not add a few book titles too? This was the first book I read about budgies: https://kcls.bibliocommons.com/item/...0082_parakeets
It was really helpful and thorough.

This is a great idea Michelle.

All I would add is that you have a digital copy of this to email the potential owners at their first enquiry, before they start buying equipment. If they then progress to becoming a 'Parrent', you could give them a paper copy.
You could even suggest that they sit beside their new Fid and read it aloud to them - learning & bonding combined!

I like all the suggestions so far.

I would add some information about what to expect when bringing a budgie home to a new place and a new cage, about being patient and letting the bird settle in for a few days so it can absorb the new sights and sounds and get used to the loss of the company of its friends/siblings. Especially making sure food and water are close to where the budgie is sitting. They can be too scared to move. It can be hard to be patient and I think new owners sometimes overwhelm the bird with attempts at taming and bonding before it has had a chance to get comfortable in its new surroundings.
