Default Fun with food

So over the last few months I have been enjoying introducing our flock to better foods. Fresh and dried herbs that are regularly available in the cage. And it has been a mix of dry seed and sprouted seeds. Sadly I ran out of the sprouting seed mix and due to the crazy weather this past week my shipment of the mix was delayed. Well the first batch became ready today so since I just put fresh dry seed into their dishes I simply added the sprouted seeds to the top. Looks like my flock missed the sprouts. They are all busy eating the sprouts right now. And not digging for the drier seed but taking from the top. Now if I can just get them to stop tossing the fresh herbs to the ground I'd be even happier....I mean they don't always but a lot of times they do.

So I do have a question, can I put the fresh herbs in one of the water dishes or baths? I have read that they like to play with the leaves especially when wet, so I was thinking maybe if I give them some in a bath maybe they may like that more and play less.

I'm sure they would enjoy that, as my budgies like eating cilantro that's floating in their water more than they like it otherwise

Sure, you can put the fresh herbs in a water dish or their bath.
No guarantees they won't still play with their food but they'll enjoy the fresh herbs either way!
