Well have you been handling him and playing with him? He might be bored...

yeah my male budgie screeches sometimes when he wants some attention too... budgies love the sound of their own voices, they also love music, and flight time outside of their cage....

how long have you had your budgies for?

ive only had them for 3 weeks, still getting them used to me (slowly). so i cant really let them out yet, i would love to though.

marty's deff been the loud one since day one, but he would just have short little fits. but the last three days have just been ridiculous.

their both males

Lol, this is just what males do. They love hearing themselves talk. My budgies chirp, screech and squawk non-stop all day. Noise shouldn't be an issue if you want birds.

My male is very talkative too, though he doesn't screech non-stop. I think they like the sound of their own voice too. Mine always wakes me up in the morning if I don't uncover their cage early enough.

male birds get very noisy just like my yeye, wont stop screeching and chirping and singing everyday!! it means that he is happy and lively, i would worry more if a bird is quiet and inactive.. you should be happy.. getting pissed off is natural since i guess its your first time to have a budgie that is very noisy.. you'll love his noise soon.. oh and i guess it may get annoying if your reviewing your notes for upcoming test etc. but you can cover the cage to make him a bit calm and stop chirping out loud.. or make a weird sound to make them stop and listen..

This is interesting. I never thought about it before. I've got one of those boys that will just sit there and squawk. I thought he might have just wanted attention from his girlfriend.
She'll go and look at him like "what are you yelling about?" I'll try to shush him but he just goes on and on sometimes. Then he'll suddenly stop and just chatter to himself.
Noisy little bugger.
