Default Rosa bourke parakeet with budgie?

Hello, I want to buy another budgie.
I originally was getting 2 but I was spacing them apart for training reasons.
Chippy is doing very well, I have looked at budgies, English budgies and now Rosa Bourke's parakeet, I would like to evenually have them in the same cage after quarantine of course. Will they get along?
the pet store said they should be ok, but to be aware and split in case..
Does anyone own a Raos Bourke;s Parakeet?

thanks for any help for this post..

BUUZBEE has a pair of Bourke's and Kerry C breeds English Budgies, plus there are a few others here, that have English Budgies. Linda

Boukes and Budiges get along well as long as they have enough space to get each other out of the way.
And of course every bird needs a partner of the same breed to be happy

bourkes are ok with budgies in a big aviary. if they are housed in a small one, or with too many budgies, they will be picked on and their tails pulled out. I have seen many combined as long as the aviary has lots of space for them to be alone, as they are very docile and quiet birds.

If you are keeping them as pets, you can get them, but you will HAVE to have a seperate cage, as budgies can be agressive. They should be fine with their outside play time together though i hope this helps! if you can, get a male (if getting 1) they are the singers, and their sweet songs as the sun comes up is fantastic!!!

thank-you all..

Yes, the lady at the LPS aid they were very docile bird, these 2 that she has come from a local breeder, and they dont last long.
They were 10-12 weeks and very, very tame, hand raised from very early age.
This is what quite appealed to me, for I love the chitter chatter of the budgie breed, chippy my budgie of 8 months is very entertaining to say the least...lol

The Rosa Bourke's parakeet is so timid looking..lol..I think its there big eyes that do it.
I will be puchasing one soon, and would like to house them together, but if not they shall be happy caged side by side.
Buying the pair would be nice, they are here $149.00 CAN each.
Chippy seems quite happy in his cage, he gets lot of attention through the day, and outside with our feathered friends as well.
As I can only hope that I can keep them together eventually!
