I think you have a boy on the left and a girl on the right.

Welcome to the forums and congratulations on your latest arrivals!

Indy is a boy and Sky is girl. They almost look like identical twin birdies!
Since they are very likely clutch siblings, you will have to take extra precautions especially later on in order to avoid breeding behaviour.
The information on this link will be useful: When We Don't Want Eggs!

Thank you all! I bought them at petsmart, picked them out of a cage of about 10 birds. I hope they are not related because they get along so well. I plan on getting more budgies soon. Have a large flight cage on the way!

Hi! to Talk Budgies

Indy and Skye could very well be related as they came from the same "bin of budgies" at PetSmart.

As you have one of each gender, it is very important you discourage breeding.

A heartfelt plea to forum members new and old

When We Don't Want Eggs

I would recommend you replace the dowel perches in your budgies' cage with natural wood perches of varying diameters as shown in this link to help prevent pressure sores/bumblefoot.

Essentials to a Great Cage

Pressure Sores

Bumblefoot

I would also recommend that you not get additional budgies at this time even though you are getting a flight cage. It is best to let the first two settle in and for you to get to know them before you decide whether or not to add to the flock.

If you do get additional budgies in the future, you will need to quarantine them away from the current birds.

Quarantine means housing your new bird in a different cage in a different room as far away as possible from the room where your current bird(s) are housed for a period of 30-45 days.
Budgies mask symptoms when they are ill. Symptoms may not show up for over two weeks.
Often you will not even realize your bird is not well. Many budgie illnesses are airborne which is why you need to quarantine your new bird in a completely different room.

It is also a good idea to always take a new budgie in to see an Avian Vet for a "well-birdie" check-up. This allows you to develop a good relationship with the vet and the vet can establish a baseline for your bird in case of any future illnesses or injuries.
