Default gender/mutation help please

Would love some opinions on this one.
Not to sure about the coloring on this little guy/gal, I assumed male when I picked him up but don't see to many variations around here and standard colors seem to be a little easier to figure out gender on. It's been several years since I had budgies so I am a little rusty.

I will get better pictures when just the sound of the door opening or someone talking doesn't cause him to start shaking he was very Wary of the camera.

You have a gorgeous young male there. I think he is a sky blue clearwing budgie.

I fell in love with this little boy the minute I saw his picture in your introductory thread! What have you named him?
He is simply gorgeous!

He is gorgeous! I suspect he may be a spangle clearwing skyblue, I feel like i can see faint spangle markings.

Toni, I thought I might see spangle too, but to be honest I thought my eyes were straining too hard

Yes, I agree with spangle as well.

Thanks everyone
Is the spangled a light dusting of markings? Cause he has very faint markings on his wings and whatnot, but haven't read exactly what specific details make a mutation. Though I did look at the pictures in the link for mutation recognition and similarities.
His name was Sam we aren't sure if it is going to stay that or not I think as he settles in and his character shows. He sang for the first time today since he's been here.
I am looking forward to his quarantine being over lol he will settle in better in the bird room than by himself I think.

Spangle is a mutation in the wing markings that looks like this:

Credit to Google Images for the photo.
In a purely spangle budgie, the markings are very noticeable. However, when mixed with clearwing, they would be very, very faint

I'm glad Sam has started to settle in well!
