Welcome to the forums! You have certainly come to the right place as you will find all you need to know on budgie care here.
The information on the several articles and sticky threads at the top of each section of the forums will be extremely useful and of benefit to you and your new budgie friend.

Congratulations on getting little Finn! He is a gorgeous grey single factor dominant pied boy! Does he have yellow on his head?
On the second pic I see some faint yellow on the forehead, if so then he is likely a yellow face type I as well

Aww, Finn is so precious! I love his coloring. I'm a little partial to pieds, though And welcome to the forums! You'll learn so much and get to meet other budgies as well!

One way to get your budgies really colorful, I've discovered, is to give them a colored cuttlebone/mineral block. When my 2 had yellow ones they had random yellow splotches of color. Now they have a red one, so my birds have several pink patterns. People will say, "Oh! I love their pink feathers. It's so unique!" And I just laugh and point to their cuttlebone/mineral block.

At first, that's what I thought the case was with your little Finn. He kind of looks like he rubbed his head against a yellow block since it's so faint

I look forward to seeing you and Finn around the forum!

P.S. I never object to pictures

He still looks male to me, given the fairly even pink colour of his cere.

I've merged your two threads regarding Finn's gender.
Please do not create multiple threads on the same topic.

You can be assured that Finn is a male budgie.
