Well, Nathalie, many budgies actually enjoy living as single budgies and don't want/need a friend to be happy. All budgies are different, so it's always best to consider the personality of your little one to conclude if they would be happy with a friend or if they love human company best. For example, my girl has been a single budgie since she was a baby and she wouldn't have it any other way. She doesn't get along with other birds very well; she is pushy and easily frustrated as well as a little too bossy

So if Rocky is happy and doing well, he may enjoy being a single budgie! Or, he may not--it depends on what you observe in his personality

Thanks starling I will say I am nervous of getting a buddy for him since he is doing so good and seems very happy since I am with him a lot "work from home" this is the reason why I am really not sure what if they don't get along or many other things to consider so I'm sure whatever I decide will be what I feel/think is good for him ...I appreciated your opinion
