As I know you want only what is best for them, please consider getting some natural wood perches of varying diameters to replace the wooden dowels in Yurio and Indi-Blue's cage in order to prevent pressure sores.
Yah, I'm aware of the issues with dowels now, thanks for the advice though The cage that Charlie will be transferred to after quarantine is natural wood perches and rope perches. I plan on buying some more natural perches when I can afford it and switching it up every once in a while. Neither bird chews on the rope so that's not a major concern.
Lapis really wants to be with Charlie, he's been crawling on the wall all day. Charlie isn't overly hyped but he's been sitting near him all day. im thinking saturday morning will be the day they can be together, I can't devote enough attention tomorrow since I have a midterm, I seriously doubt there will be any issues but just in case. They seem happier just being in each others presence, so I'm not worried about another two days. Hopefully Lapis doesnt mind Charlies things being added to the cage.
I'm glad it seems like they're going to be friends!
Before you put them in the same cage, you should let them interact outside their cages together and see if they get on. If they do, don't forget to rearrange the entire cage so that no "territorial" feelings come up and it's like a whole new cage for them both
