Syd and Bondi are so beautiful together, I can't get over it . You take great pics too.. catching them at just the right moment.

Thanks Star for explaining the mutations . Seems like whenever you have multiple mutations combined in a budgie, it makes for interesting and extra beautiful coloration. (Mauve though? I'm seeing a little brighter of a blue than that on my iPad. Could it be mauve with violet factor(s)?)

Syd (the green one) was the one that I think is mauve, his sf goldenface makes him look green, haha.

I agree that Bondi's blue is bright, that's why I figured cobalt double factor violet

I always admire those grapevines on top of the cage. They're so beautiful and artistic in their natural shapes. I wish I could get some somewhere.

The wheatgrass idea was taken from your thread and they do love it!

They're actually twisted hazel (sometimes called corkscrew hazel I think) from my garden. The bush looks lovely in winter with bare curly branches (I usually hang baubles on it at Christmas, and the catkins are also pretty in spring. The leaves in summer aren't so attractive though, quite course and dark and they way they hang makes them look slightly wilted.

Bondi perfecting his bell ringing technique.

Dinner dinner dinner dinner BAT BIIIRD!

This photo just makes me think of two old men chatting on a park bench, putting the world to rights.

Would you like a manicure ma'am? (They were already short & clean, honestly)

Helping with the pinnies! - "1 more minute, then it's your turn to do me, ok?"

I never get tired of snapping these little guys!

I'm so smitten with Syd and Bondi I just can't stand it!
The third and fifth pictures of this last batch are beyond precious.

More beautiful pics!

So that's twisted hazel... I just looked it up on google, and it looks like my area is not an ideal area to grow it. Too hot here . I'd love to have a bush where I could get some nice artistic looking branches to make bird perches and toys from.
