Gonna miss these little faces so much while we go away On holiday.
they won't like mummy later when she has to hold them to put them into the travel box.

Hi I'm back - following two amazing weeks in Cape Town- seeing friends and holiday. Such a wonderful amazing place.

Picked up the birds yesterday and I missed them but they loved aunts Linda and uncle Andy, who by the way is way better with them than I am.they and flights out every night and he got them into the travel cage before I picked them up, all happy 😊

Seems like I lack in confidence with them - mummy must try harder.

Funniest story though. While in capetown we visited the bird world. Wonderful place where you walk into the avaires with the birds. Anyhow I'm saying hello to some in a large aviary ( it said they were rescued and unwanted pets) and hubby says Sharon shut up when a large cockatoo comes over to me and says hello back, not just once but several times. I just looked at hubby and he couldn't believe it.

Sharon,

All the pictures I never commented on yet are great.

I'm glad you had a nice holiday.
It's great that the Cockatoo greeted you (and surprised your husband).
I personally say "Hello" to all animals I meet, birds, squirrels, chipmunks, cows...... etc.

Hello everyone not been about much on here but been enjoying getting to know my birdies more and more.
I'm still rubbish and the hand taming, they only sit on me when I have a yummy bit of millet.
I will get some photos up, but I have a question, LuLu's cere is still quite blue, it's not the same blue and Max and she has whitish nostrils and she most defiantly acts like a girl. They are almost a year old, when does it change to brown?
When I'm organized I will get more photos up.
Hope everyone is well x

It sometimes takes a very long time before a female comes into breeding condition while others come into condition quite young.

It is just like with people. Each budgie is unique. As long as Lulu is healthy and happy, don't worry if her cere doesn't change.
