A few new pictures as it's been a while.
Things are all good with the flock. We're still eagerly awaiting the time when we have the new cage and the big change over.
You'll notice Jay and Star aren't in this photoset because they're in their own cage at the moment. Jay's a little hormonal and I decided it was best to give everyone a break from him. He's not nasty, but he just gets over excited. Bless him.
Can certainly tell that spring is here because they are all feeling happy with the lovely sunshine being out. Jimmy & Eve continue to bond, Stan & Henry are still the closest and Tommy has been flirting with Jenny.
Stan & Henry- two peas in a pod! They continue to spend as much time together as any two budgies I've ever had! Sometimes they also spend a little time with Tommy or Skye, usually when they're enjoying out of cage time as sometimes Henry prefers to stay inside the cage.
Today Henry came out though! He's not a strong flyer and though he can lap the room, he starts to lose altitude after one circuit and tends to land on whatever is closest. he did well in correcting himself today- I was very proud of him. Earlier in the week he had two floor crash landings but he stepped up both times so I could assist him back to his cage.
And yes, little Henry still gets fed by his pal Stan as well.
Stan & Tommy
Tommy is just the most social budgie I've ever seen. I see him interact with all the budgies and he has such a charm, they all seem to love him. I think he could be put in a cage with any of the others and he'd get along with them.
Skye & Stan- seem to be sharing secrets!
I feel a little bad that Skye hasn't found a special lady budgie since Star ditched him for Jay. He was friends with Jimmy for a bit, but now Jimmy has Eve he's a little left out again. Maybe if I ever get budgie number 14 it will be a boy pal for Skye.
I know I'm biased, but I really do think that Stan is very handsome.
Jimmy and his one true love- A swing!
Pretty girls Sadie and Jenny.
Sadie has really come out of her shell recently and socialises more out of the cage.
The head on look doesn't work so well for English budgies.
With her snuggle buddy, Jimmy.
It makes me happy to see Jimmy bonding with a female again after Sunny. He is a budgie who needs a friend.
Her beak is still growing as a speedy rate but regular little trims seem to be keeping it in order.
Lucy is very much the Queen Bee. She prefers to be in the cage but will venture out maybe once a week. Whatever food pot she wants to eat from, she eats from it. No one argues with her.
One thing I've noticed with Eve is she likes to flop herself down.
She's like a little budgie puddle.
Here ends the update.
