You will make no money with breeding budgies. It will cost you about $30 for every budgie you raise and you can only sell them for about $20.

Most people breed because they love their birds and they want to care for the babies. Most breeders even keep the babies they raise.

No-one should breed to make money, because you'll only end up losing it.

I agree with Kelsey. You will not make much of a profit (if any) from breeding and selling budgies. Budgies do cost a lot, and you cannot sell budgies for that much.

No-one is going to buy a budgie for a lot of money of it was kept in poor conditions, only ate seeds and isn't socialised. If you are offering a budgie like that on the market then you can sell it for $5 and still struggle to find someone to buy it.

However, if you have well-socialised baby budgies on a good diet (veggies, pellets, fruit) and kept in fantastic conditions, then people will be willing to spend about $20 on it. To get these things right you will have to spend a lot of money on the birds. This will cost you about $30 per baby.

That's not really a good thing to be smiling about. People will buy one of the budgies that do not have a good diet and the word will get around. And when people see the cages you have them in I don't think they will buy.

I was just about to say the same thing. Breeders CARE for their budgies well being which this person apparently doesn't.

You know, I have a feeling this is not a real post so much as someone trying to get a rise out of folks.
