Default Budgie is placing his beak on my finger?

Okay! So..this is my first post here about my very first budgie, so I'm sorry if I seem like...really naive? I just tried to search the answer for my problem but I haven't been able to find it.

Anyway, I've had my little budgie, Peanut, for about a month. I'm pretty sure he's around 8 months old, so taming hasn't been too hard, but I'm nervous.
I've been working with him quite a lot, to the point of him nibbling gently on me and going to put his foot on my finger, but not actually doing so.
Tonight was a little different. He was puffed out and his eyes were closing, and like usual, he nibbled on me. But after a little bit of nibbling, he'd just...rest his beak on my finger? Like he seems totally relaxed but he's just- Gently placing his beak against my finger before nibbling some more.
Maybe he's really sleepy? It's near his bed time, after all...But, I thought I'd ask if it was normal? Because he's gently sang to his favorite toy while having his beak placed on it before, as well. Have any of you seen something like this, and if so, do you think I should be worried?
Thank you!

Welcome to the forums and the ever exciting world of budgie ownership!
You have certainly come to the right place as you will find all you need to know on budgie care here.
Since you are relatively new to budgies, the information on the several articles and sticky threads at the top of each section of the forums will be extremely useful.

To answer your question, there is no cause for worries. From your description, it's clear that your Peanut feels completely familiarized your hand/finger and is comfortable enough to let his guard down as he gets ready to sleep for the night and rests his beak on your finger for a bit.
By doing so, he could also be looking for a bit of warmth from finger. Resting the beak on the finger/hand and gently nibbling it (preening) is perfectly fine and is a sign of affection.

Hey, guys! Sorry, I just now got to this thread again! ;A;
Thakn you all for the help. I'm glad Peanut feels safe enough with me to practically sleep on me haha.
He's started singing to his food and water now like he does with his favorite toys ;v; That must mean he loves them?

He's a sweet little man, and I'll show him to you as soon as he lets me come close to him with a camera!

Peanut sounds adorable! I'm so glad he feels that comfortable with you, to rest his beak on your finger. It's always such a huge reward when such a tiny little guy has total trust and faith in you. Keep up the good work!

Hey guys!
I keep disappearing, but I've come back with big news!
Peanut has perched on my finger! He loves it! He loves to nibble my fingers (even though sometimes he gets carried away and pinches me instead) and steps up on his own.
I'm very happy!!
