Hi there i got you website off a friend as i have a major problem with a budgie i have we found a budgie on our balcony outside so we took it in and have been looking after it for a while now and its really vicious and attacks you any chance it gets it is also attacking the other budgie we have we know one is male and one is female tonight we noticed that the female one was plucking out the feathers of the male one so my partner took it out to seperate them one min they are all lovey with each other the next they are fighting.
Well when my partner let the budgie out it hurt its wing and it cannot fly now we think it has broken its wing we are going to take it to the vets to see if they can fix it.
We just dont know what to do to stop this viciousness it is actually drawing blood on whoever is holding it what can we do please help.
Thanx helen xx
Well i can't really say much here but I don't think that budgie escaped from a loving home. that budgie was probly let free to fend on its own so maby he just needs time. Yes a vet visit is in order and did you bother to quaratine the other budgie. it could be sice and it can get to you bother budgies

Welcome to the site. That is sure an interesting story you have with your found budgie. I don't doubt that that has something to do with his nippy disposition. Obviously there are some trust issues going on there (or should I say a LACK of trust).
How long have you had the new addition? Perhaps more adjustment time is needed. You're doing the right thing by bringing the little fellow to the vet to get checked out. Please let us know how that goes.
It sounds like you will just need to give the sweetie some space for a while.
Hey Helen! Welcome to the site :) . I pretty much agree with what Budgiekin had to say.

Welcome to the forum. So nice of you to take in the stray budgie. Not knowing its history it is hard to say why it is so nippy. It could be very terrified. I would definately get that wing checked out. An injury could make it more nippy. Best of luck and please keep us posted.

Thanx a lot guys for the advice i actually have two budgies that indeed both came to us by chance the other budgie was found at my partners work he cought it and he is a loving little thing sits and dances all the time i never have a problem with that one (george is his name) but when we came accross the other one its so different to george you walk in the room and its on guard ready to attack you well going to take it to the vet if its open today as the vets seem to go by there own timetable not what they advertise.
We were wondering at some point could this bird be wild as it shows the signs of a wild brid we have had this new budgie for about 3/4 weeks now and it hasnt calmed down at all it actually draws blood on whoever holds it i am totally scared of this bird i wont go near it. The other one i dont mind flying about the room but if the blue one is out i will go to another room.
I am just hopeing that it will calm down a bit and stop being so visious.
Helen xx
