Ok, so as some of you know, we got the Cherry Tree Branch today. It is made into a perch and was fitted in about 4 or 5 hours ago. So far Pie likes it, he's sitting on it now as happens...But Green can't seem to get up to it. She climbs right up to the top of the cage then falls. Again she lands in awkward positions with her wings spread out. At the moment she is sleeping on the floor. She is looking exhausted and i hate seeing her like this. :(
She is getting worse by the day...:( :( :(

Aww, I am so sorry to hear that Green is struggling. That is never easy to deal with. Do you have something soft for her to land on when she falls? For Skyla, my one-winged budgie, I have a soft pad on the bottom of her cage that I cover with paper towel in case she falls off of a perch.

How low is the perch? Maybe for Green it would be better to have a platform type place for her to sit. Either that or you make sure the perches are quite low for her.

I am thinking of her often and I hope she is okay.

Is she falling off teh branch becuase the branch is slippery/no grip....If so maybe you could cut a few lines across the branch so she could hold on easily and dig her nails into it better so she wont fall off?:)

Green has never had a chance to sit on the branch as everytime she climbs up to it, she falls landing on her back. In the link Budgiekin gave me, it suggests putting down a piece of foam to soften her landing. We are thinking of doing this.
The perch is situated quite low.

Not to good :( , she has'nt had a good day. She's been trying to climb up to the Cherry Branch but keeps falling off. It's getting to the point where now she can't even reach her food + water. We have placed extra seed + water on the floor for her.
Like yesterday she looks exhausted at the moment. She spent the night on the floor sleeping last night and tonight it looks the same.

Hello, new member here. I would say cover part of the branch with a cloth or some material that will help her keep her balance. You could add another thin rough branch at the same level as the one she cant get on to help her get used to it.

Thanks, i tell her everyday you are all thinking of her! I hope her condition improves, Green is my first budgie and i love her more than anything. I would give her my foot if i could lol.
