Wholey bird munchies! I'd been visiting the parents' farm and went for a stroll to see how the hay was growing. Picked a few dandelions for the fids and then grabbed some clover and a couple sprigs of alfalfa. I figured, hey... they are all legumes and free of any sprays etc, what could it hurt? Especially since I'd seen clover being touted on a couple of bird sites now...
They get so excited over the clover that they climb all over my hand when I put it in and try to pin it to their roof... and the alfalfa they literally jump on and pull it from the clip to the bottom of the cage where they can roll and chew at it.
The poor dandelions (which were their favs) are now being ignored! I can hardly wait for the clover to head to see what they think of that.
