Tiki and I chat quite a bit, however, I am wondering how long it may take before Tiki will learn some human words? Tiki shows broad range of budgie vocals, and in fact is calling for me quite loadly at the moment!:) I repeat several key words or phrases on a consistent basis - what are your stories?

None of my budgies talk, but I don't mind at all. I love to hear them sing. Apparently you can buy CDs that supposedly teach your bird some words. I have no idea if they would work though! Anyone have experience with them?

Oh yeah, and I have also heard that boy budgies are more likely to talk than girl budgies. (Although that wouldn't influence me to choose a boy over a girl!) Girl budgies rock!!

Those talking cds can work but not as well as human to bird talking lessons. It seems to help if the budgie can see your lips working and even feel the vibrations that happen when you talk.
