Seattle Rain

I took everyone's advice about finding a breeder (thanks everyone for the links) and my husband and I came across and ad for five budgies for sale, $8 each, so we decided to check them out. Some lady needed to get rid of her birds because she didn't have the time for them (With at least eight dogs and a parrot, who would have time for five parakeets?). The poor things! She had five and they were all cramped in an 18" by 10" cage (roughly). I would have taken all of them but hubby was being nice enough letting me take two home instead of the one we agreed on. They were a bit older than I expected, but they were both males to even out my bunch (Rosco was, until today, my only boy). Their feathers are a bit thinner but they respond very well to love, and they don't nip when I put my hands near them in the cage. Welcome Joey...

And here they are again, together

The cage they are in now is slightly smaller than their old one, but I'm sure they are much more comfortable, since their cage is slightly cleaner and there's only two of them, but it's only for a month. After that they get to go into the big cage with Phoebe and my three Dukes! :) :budgie: :budge:
