Is azzy on the right? shes got beautuful markings. They should have some nice looking bubs. Is this there first clutch? Will you be keeping them?
azzy is the one on the right. yup. its there first clucth. its hard to tell if im keeping all or giving some to my friends and cousin who wants one. i still dont know the babys color and personality.. maybe when weaning or eating on ther on ill decide.

awww thats sad that two died :( was the nest box outside that it got wet? the pic of the two babies is adorable, hope all goes well with them :)
my cages are on the outside but has a roof of its own. usually when it rain they dont get wet. because of the strong winds the nest box got wet. i was still at work at the time it rained

yesterday i separated the two chicks from the cage because they kept on trying to go back to the nestbox. azul and azzy have started the mating ritual again and wont allow the two chicks inside the nestbox. im still trying to teach azul and azzy to eat "aristopet egg and biscuit" among my flock they are the hardest to introduce to new foods. first few days are wasteful they wont touch the food at all.
good thing my other pair who have a clutch right now, needle and saffy are the most curious of the flock. in needles case , when ever i put my finger near the cage he expects a treat from my finger, so when i introduce the "aristopet egg and biscuit",i put it first on my finger, before i put it in my "treat plate".
saffy, right now is a bit defensive. very protective mother.when ever i put my finger near the cage he expects a treat from my finger

Isn't it funny, everyone seems to see the parents kicking the chicks out so they can start another clutch. My hen had no trouble letting the chicks stay through the egg laying and even the start of hatching. I ended up removing the older chicks for the safety of the new ones.
Lovely chicks by the way.
