It sounds like the best thing to do would be to separate the male. Put him in another cage, but place the cage right beside the females' cage. That way he won't get lonely. Please don't leave him in the cage with the females! He can't possibly be a happy, confident budgie when he is in with the females.
You may wish to get another budgie to put in the cage with your male (preferably a male budgie). If you decide to do that, make sure you quarantine the newbie for 30 days minimum. But before you do, I would recommend trying to put him in his own cage and place the cage right beside the other one.
Let us know what you decide!!!:p

You'll find females tend to be a bit more aggressive than males. First, I'd definately separate the birds. Next, I'd get another male.
Another thing may be the size of your cage. If they feel the least bit crowded, I find the females, especially, have a tendency to get very testy. Be sure you have a large enough cage with ample perches.
Keep us posted.

I agree with separating them, but keeping them in sight of each other. I would get a new male too.

i got a cinnamon male budgie
Like i told you on msn, i really think you should fix the conditions the other 3 were kept in before getting your 4th budgie, it's quite upsetting that you completely disregarded my advice. I hope at the very least your new budgie is in a separate cage in a separate room for quarantine. :( Please don't think that you can keep 4 budgies in the small cage you have with no toys, it's so important that you get a LARGE cage with LOTS of toys. :(

I concur with the others - separate the male and females. Perhaps when you have four, if your cage is large enough you could try to reintroduce. The balance of gender might help. But worst case scenario you put two cages side by side. I've had to separate two budgie out of my main flock. The cages are side by side and they are all doing fine.
