Is your picture over the limit allowed on these forums? All you need is this one simple tool:

Microsoft Image Resizer

Download:

http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe

Download this and install it.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that you have installed it right click on any picture you want. You should see resize pictures, click on that.

Now you should see the programme appear. Click on Advanced and then select custom. Fill in both boxes with 450 (or the length desired). Don't worry this will not make your pictures a square, it will shrink it proportionally making the longest side 450 pixels.

Now it will make a new picture with the same name but with a (Custom) at the end of it. (you can set it to resize the original copy and not make a new one)

Now you are all done! I hope this was helpfull :)

That's a great tutorial. On size, for landscape (sideways) photos i make them 400x300 and for portrait (upwards) photos i make them 300x400. I find those sizes work well and keep the photos right, not stretching them at all. :D

You can just hit the Print Screen button on the keyboard (might say Prt Scrn or something of the sort). That will copy the screen. Then just paste it into Photoshop or something. This button (on my keyboard) is located right next to the F12 and Scroll Lock buttons.

WOW this thread has been started in 2006! I think this'll work on vista. If not type in "image resizer vista" and see what comes up. Thank you for posting here. I didn't know how to resize my images. Now I do!

If you have a lot of photos you would like to resize at once, or if you need to crop a picture this application is fantastic. If anyone is interested I will post screen shots demonstrating how to do a batch resize or crop.
