View Full Version : Our First Global Moderator: Bea
Everyone welcome Bea to the Talk Budgie staff as the first global moderator! Bea has shown and shared with us her extensive knowledge of budgies. So let's all welcome her to the team!
:twothumbs:
On the note of staff additions, I'm going to be looking for some more staff soon. If you're interested in possibly being a staff member (such as a writer), now's you're chance to demonstrate that you deserve it! :D

I might be interested in becoming a staff member. I would like to know more about what that would entail.

Congrats Bea! I am a moderator for a ferret forum, but I do not know enough about budgies to be a staff member here. :p

Which position do you have in mind? For now I'm considering hiring a writer or two. If you have another idea, run it by me.

Hi Dave,
I'd like to be a writer. Can you give me an idea of the time committment that it would involve and the kinds of things you are looking to have written? (I'm pretty new to Discussion Forums so I am not familiar with people's roles on a Discussion Forum Staff, so I apologize if I am asking silly questions).
I'd LOVE to be any member of Talk Budgies! I come on here every single day and I couldn't live without it! I think its the best budgie website ever and being a member of staff is my dream!

You wouldn't have to spend any more time on here than you currently do. The only difference is that you'd have to write articles for the site. The articles can be about anything: teaching your budgie to talk, a fact list about the species, budgie recipes, anything. The only limit on that is no stories. If you need to include a story/scenario to hlep make a point clear, that's fine. But the entire article can't just be one big story. Other than that, anything goes.
If you get the position, I'll be sure to tell you all about what to expect.

Hi Dave. In that case, I would LOVE to be considered to be a writer for the forum! How do you go about choosing?
Are you looking for anymore staff? I'd be very willing to be one!
Well as I said I'm looking for a writer or two. If you're interested in writing articles for the site you can apply.
Definately! What do I have to do?

Hey Millie. Any articles you could do would be greatly appreciated! We're in need of them right now as we're still young.
When are you going to be looking for more 'jobs'?
Not until we reach a certain threshold of activity... What exactly that threshold equals shall remain secret. ;)
