My babies learned a new bad trick.

Here is the set up. I have a ceiling fan in my kitchen and one in my dining room. They both have reversible blades so you can either have a rattan insert showing or not. The fan in the kitchen has the rattan side showing and the one in the dining room has the smooth side showing.

The other day I realized the babies sitting on top of the fan in the dining room were tearing at the rattan on top of the blades. Then they figured out if they hung upside down from the blades in the kitchen they could get to the rattan inserts on the underside of those blades. :p Clever monkeys!

So I decided the only solution was to take the blades off of the fans. Sigh.

I used to have a budgie that loved to sit high up on the ceiling fan.
The two birds I have now have not discovered the fan yet:p It is never on! We might as well remove it too.....
The things we do for our birds...better to only mention it here....people think we are crazy.....:D
