there is still no egg from holly and it has been 9 days that i have noticed she is carrying an egg. She is still swollen around the vend she poops big and now i noticed that when she poops she peeps i dont no if that is normal is it she doesnt do it loud u just hear a low tweet? She is in her nest box alot so i dont no what to do could it take more days to lay and egg? i have heard if you feel there vent or something and if she is carrying an egg you will feel it or something and if this is true how do i do it and what am i suppose to feel? im starting to get worried i dont know what to do??:S
I don't think she's eggbound because, sadly, if she had been eggbound for 9 days she would've died. Feel around her vent, if it's soft and squishy it could be a rupture. If that's the case you should take her to the vets to be safe and not use her for breeding.

i felt around her vent and it is not squishy could she still be carrying an egg?
If she is there is something really wrong. I really recommend taking her to an avian vet to see what's wrong.

sorry to hear about Holly, i agree with Bea it sounds as if youre only solution now is to consult a vet, good luck.
