Hi! I was wondering if anyone know's what my pair's babies would produce or any guesses.

This is the mom (normal green) and dad (opaline):

These are the 3 that have hatched and the one in the front has lighter eyes than the others who have black eyes. Do you think this baby may be a lutino?

mora than lutino I would say cinnamon....... but who knows either way dad would have to be split for lutino or cinnamon as he is not visual.......and considering mom is normal green and green is dominant....... my guess would be greens and probably one cinnamon baby due to the eye color.......or perhaps a blue if mom is split to blue

Cinnamons don't have red eyes do they? Neither of the cinnamons i've seen go from egg to adult had red eyes.

You will get normal greens (males split to opaline), opaline green females. If mum's spilt to blue then you'll get normal blues (males split to opaline), opaline blue females. Obviously dad is split to ino (as you've got an ino baby there). That baby could be either albino or lutino. Lutino is mum is not split to blue, albino if she is. :)

hello there..

the green is dominant over the blue in birds , so if ur green is pure green , this means he doesnt have blue genes at all the babies will be 100% green , but if there is some blue babies then the father is not pure green , and in this case u will have 50% green and 50% blue.

best wishes.

Budgie babies born with dark red looking eyes (plum coloured) do turn out to be cinnamons. This is evident in the first few days where the plum colour can be easily seen behind the "eyelid" area. Not to be confused with the brighter red eye of a lutino or albino baby.

Thank you all! The third baby which had plum colored eyes didn't turn out to be a lutino. He is growing out yellow/black feathers and his eyes aren't red but a very light black and he also has blue cheeks.

Here is a picture of him:

Do you have any ideas what he may be?

Here are the rest of the babies, I am so in love with them and I am keeping them all. One of the babies looks like it will be a green opaline. Are all green opalines females?

Those little black beaked bubs are adorable!!!

I didnt think you'd get an ino from that first pic... the eye was lighter, but not red, ino babies you cant realy even see the eye under the skin!
