Ive been using Kaytee Exact Rainbow for awhile, along with Kaytee Exact Original. Ive also been trying to give them some greens and fruits (but they still wont eat them.) But Im woundering if anyone has previously feed or is feeding their birds this and what they think about this food.

I'm a Roudybush fan too. All the birds except the parrotlets get it. http://roudybush.com

You need to check the ingredients in you kaytee... does it contain ethoxyquin? its a really bad ingredient.

The breeder that I bought my bird from at a bird show, recommended Kaytee to me. My vet said to feed pellets, so I give them both, plus I try to get them to eat fresh fruits and veggies.

Ive been using Kaytee Exact Rainbow for awhile, along with Kaytee Exact Original.

The Kaytee Exact Rainbow was recommended to me.....I just read the ingredience on my package, it does contain "ethoxyquin". It was the first pellets I tried to get my Budgie to eat...without success. I guess it was a good thing I switched!
I do however feed him "Kaytee Forti-Diet Egg-Cite", however it does not contain the preservative "ethoxyquin". The Pellets I am now using, still without success, is "Lafeber's Premium daily Diet for Parakeets."...No ethoxyquin.

Is this just a pellet? Do you feed your Budgies seeds as well?

I've been mixing 2 tsp. Egg-cite with 1/2 tsp. pellets for three months now. When I dump what's left, when giving fresh food, I'm sure all the pellets are still there!:o

My birds love roudybush! Try to give your birds food that are all natural and have no chemicals, colorants, and artificial flavour because that can cause the bird to dramitically shorten their lifespan! You can also buy your bird some seeds and you can slice some apples, oranges, lettuce and bananas for your birds! If they don't eat their greens you can always coax them to eat it! I always do!:)
