Well at first I was going to build my own cage, but realized that it was pretty complex so I decide to just buy one. I wanted to buy this used Vision 110 cage for $30, I was wondering why it was so cheap. I asked the owner for an actual pic of the cage but she only gave me the one from the Hagen website and won'y give me the actual pic. Do you think I should buy it? Is this big enough for 3 budgies?

Well by the looks of it, it might be a bit small if you will get it though make sure to let your budgies out a lot :)

Well to each his own. Job lot had it on display here in Ct. and it looked pretty good. Went back a week later and it was all apart. I asked the clerk what happen to the cage and he said it tipped over.

I've only seen it put together once, and from what I remember I don't think it' s big enough for 3 bugs. Anyone have the dimensions?...meh i found them

20" L x 22" H x 16" W (51cm x 56cm x 41cm) for vision 110

Since 18x18x18 is recommended as minimum for 1 bird I'd say this cage could probably do 1 bird...maybe 2 if they are out of the cage a lot...but 3 is probably a bit too much.

Although acrylic cages, may be a choice for smaller birds and small bird aviaries, many people believe the current acrylic cages are not a good choice for birds. Birds like to climb and need places to secure a foot hold. Birds' feet and beaks can more easily scratch the acrylic, making it unsightly and creating places for dirt and bacteria to collect. They require more work to clean and disinfect. Poor air exchange, which may promote growth of organisms, can also be a problem without a ventilating fan. There continue to be advances in the design of acrylic cages which are addressing these problems.
Its your choice and its your bird. I'm just saying I would Never buy a acrylic cage for my birds. They like to climb all the time and without cage bars they would be unable to do that.

Take a poll of all the members on this forum and I bet 89% would say wire cage.
Also pet stores are usually wide open, and budgies don't do good in a draft. They usually use these to block the draft from the budgies and stop customers from sticking in their hands. Go look at the cage area and see how many acrylic cages they have for sale compared to the wire cages.

Remember: JUST MY OPINION

Oh! It looks really nice though. Now I'm having second thoughts about it. Anyway thx for the info!

I just recently ordered a new cage: http://www.birdscomfort.com/flight_bird_cage.html

I had the vision cage, which at the time seemed huge and wonderful. Now, it seems pretty small. My birds have no room to fly and invade eachother's space. Also, it is not the easiest cage to clean. :(

I have the HQ cage for my GCC (and similar AE cage for my budgies). Nice cage, cheap price.

Those are crazy looking cages. I actually put an add on Craigslist and Freecycle looking for a new cage for Sylvia. Surprisingly, I got a lot of people looking to get rid of their cages that are just lying around for cheap. Just waiting on pictures and more information on the cages, then I will make my decision. And doing it this way is a lot cheaper.
