Despite only being with me for a couple months, Tweety meant a ton. He was my little man. Quite the character and social bug. He was Sylvia's cage pal and more.

I'm really sad to have to say goodbye, with such quick notice. He fought so hard, and I fought with him. I said my goodbyes, pet his head, and put him in his little box. He finally passed away, peacefully on April 10th, 2007 at 12:08a.m.

Forever in my heart, Tweety.

I don't know what happened or anything. I'm at a loss to what could have happened and if it could have been prevented.

Sylvia looks sad and lost. I hope whatever Tweety had wasn't contagious. :(

I know how you feel about it being so sudden. It happened to my baby budgie, Christmas. One night he was having difficulty breathing and the next day, after treatment, he passed away.

It's so heartbreaking not fully understanding what really happened. It kills to think, "Could this have been prevented?" "Did he have to die?"

It's very hard and I'm still coping with my loss and I know what you're going through with yours.

I know. I want to get another cage buddy for Sylvia, but I don't know at the same time. I don't want to seem insensitive and go get a little one soon, but at the same time I would like to start quarantine, so Sylvia isn't alone for too long. And then I don't know if I could get another budgie...:S :(

i actually went out looking for a new bird the day that missy died not because i was desperate for a new one and had killed my sweetie which ofcouse i didnt kill her i still miss her and in a way her memory lives on through heidi as no heidi does not bite but the love personality and the need too be with a human being all day everyday during holidays im not dumb enough too take her too school anyway i got a new one as i knew that the longer i left it the harder it would be too move on im still greiving but show it though poems and stories not crying oops lol time got away from me anyway my way of remebering missy is different.

I think everyone morns differently. I know I do. When my kitten was killed I was sad, but how I got through it was getting other kittens that weekend. Not to replace her in any way or to seem insensitive, it's just my way of dealing with it all. So right now I'm comtemplating on what I should do, and what I need to do.

yeah and a few of my friends said that i was stupid for staying home just because my bird died which made me angry so i turned around and said well atleast i dont wag school or fake sick i stayed home because i cared and was upset.
