A fledgling sparrow ending up in my house today. It was the cutest little thing, but it could barely fly so i couldnt just chuck it out the window where it came in. I rung the RSPCA and they told me to put it outside somewhere safe and its parents will find it. So i took it out in the box i had it in nd got it out and it sat on my finger, and sraight away started cheeping and surely enough, while it was on my finger cheeping an adult sparrow started hanging around. so i put the baby on the windowsil and as soon as i walked away the adult sparrow was there with it. came back 2 mins later and both where gone, i checked the baby hadnt just fallen off the windowsil or nethin, but it was no where to be seen, so im guessing and hoping now its mum or dad just took it back to the nest.
Just thought i'd tell that story coz i thought it was cool how the parent sparrow could recognise the call of its own baby. and it was sooooo cute, i would of taken a picture but it was stressed enough as it was and i just wanted to get it back outside asap.
and thats my tale of the baby sparrow!
