Really - today Really enjoyed looking at the dripping faucet in the bathroom and he even had a couple sips of water from my hand. He is perfectly content to perch on my hand - is very relaxed - so we're trying some new things - like dripping water - very very cute - he tilted his head to look at the water better. I'm not using millet with Really because he doesn't seem to need any incentives to be willing to sit on my hand.
PeeWee - we're taking baby, baby steps here. When we train, I have to move his cage to a different room - if I don't - he contact calls for Really - even though they live in separate cages (side by side), I believe they've already bonded (to a certain degree). Yesterday they spent some time together in PeeWee's cage, and they were both quite happy in each other's presence. Today. training went much better when I temporarily moved PeeWee's cage to a separate room. The session consisted of PeeWee sitting on my hand (while my hand was in his cage) and eating millet - I was able to move my hand ever so gently and slightly, w/o him jumping back off to his perch. If I'm not feeding him millet - he chooses to return to his perch.
