The pet store I go to always has rare blue parakeets. How can they be rare if they always have them?

skie was a "rare" parakeet

it is just the different colorations like pieds and those types

doesn't really matter they cost the same

I think Star is rare because she is pure albino, but I think all budgies are special regardless of color, as long as I have a nice budgie I don't care what color he/she is.

There is no difference between different colored budgies, each one is the same as the other.
All that is different is their wonderful personalities.

Some budgies in pet stores are just labeled RARE for profit means, because what attracts you more than the word rare.

haha at the pet store i go into that sell budgie they call them 'Fancy' budgies/parakeets but most of them now have come to light and figured out that theres really no difference so they're like the same price now... unless you go to a retarded petstore, but i try and avoid those. But ya its just the colours really.

In nature, budgies are usually green. So I guess any colour other than green would be something special

Its all profit. When they're called rare or exotic more people take intrest in our feathery friends!
