I opened the cage door to change Lime's food and he flew out :eek:
He's been doing this for a few days now. He flies to the curtain rod thingy and perches there. He now trusts me enough that he perches on my finger and lets me put him back in his cage. :p

This is huge! Getting on your finger and letting you put him back in the cage is a great success. Keep up the good work. :)

Today Lime decided to be naughty and fly off my finger when it was JUST outside his cage door :p

But he let me put him in his cage on my second try.

I would like to teach him to perch on my shoulder later...

I agree, when they exit on their own but let you return them to the cage on your finger it's a big deal! He sounds fun -- and a little naughty ;)
