This is Ray, the proud daddy of 3 eggs and counting! Selma (mommy) was hiding out in her nest box.
He looks like he'll make a great dad! :D

Cool! How many days old are the eggs? What does mommy look like? What mutations are you expecting with your chicks? Sorry, lots of questions - I'm new.

We have eggs that were laid on May 6, 8 , 10. Mommy (Selma) is brilliant green colour sort of like this:budgie: !
I have no idea what colours to expect from the babies, I just really want 1 baby for me, and any more are just bonuses! Hopefully one egg will hatch!
I'm sure more than 1 egg will hatch, have you candled them yet?

I have not candled them yet, as I was told that you should wait til they are at least 10 days old before attempting it. I am not sure I will, as I don't want to risk breaking them, or hurting them in anyway.;)

Yes, you don't want to handle them too much early on as you might addle them. Addling is a way of preventing embryos from forming by shaking the eggs. I think it disturbs the cell production.
