Frisky or itchy

7yrld male bugdie in cage with 2yrld female, both seem on good fettle,

The male while sitting pearched drops both wings below the perch and appears to be rubbing something against the perch (hence frisky or itchy), originally thought it might be a mating thing, but he is doing this every day now.

Had a quick look back and there appears no other similar problems, any ideas please.

He's...well....having a bit of fun.:o Hehe, Blinkie went through a phase where he did that everyday too, i changed his cage around a bit though and he doesn't do it so frequently now.

You could consider removing the items that your budgie is infatuated with. Apollo used to do it big time with a couple of his toys and he even threw in a dance before and after his jiggle session!
