Day 1 of Serious Training
Mission Kiwi: Today, I offered Kiwi a perch to sit on but she flew away from it. D=. But I thought of putting the food bowl in front of the perch so that if she wants to access the food, she needs to sit on the perch. Sure enough, it worked!:) She is now happily sitting on the perch and eating her seed mix. Step 1 accomplished!
Mission Eclipse: Eclipse has always been less of a stubborn budgie than Kiwi. So, he was always one step ahead of her. He was always happy to sit on the perch even with no food bowl in front of him. Just a couple of minutes ago, I was giving him the food bowl to eat from, he stepped onto it. While he was eating, I moved the food bowl closer and closer to my knee. And Eclipse....(drum roll please) put one foot on my knee! Yay!:D
*Edit* They both now happily sit on my knee when I want them to, next step, my finger!
