I've heard you can advertise your website and forum, as long as it isn't about budgies. I'm a super mod on a bird forum that needs more members, could I post a link? it isn't just about budgies, it's about all birds or does that still count? :S

Like you said, as long as it isn't for a competing site, posting a promotional message is fine in the Chit-Chat forum. I hope posting about it gets your site off to a good start. ;)
