My walls are painted with a Latex Flat(from the sticker on the lid when they had ti tinted to the color of their choice) paint - they're textured but not that "popcorn" type stuff that when you run your hand over it it scratches you

I'm attaching a pic of my wall (clean one lol)

but here's what I"ve tried in the past and Failed

Hand Held Steamer - Removed Paint - Poop Remained

Steel wool scouring pad(like you use on pots/pans) - removed paint - Poop remained

Soapy Rag - with the old fashioned elbow grease - Removed paint- Poop remained

Do you see a Pattern here? :giggle: no matter what I do the Paint comes off and the Poop STAYS!

This is the Exact Paint my Landlord used on my walls - she sent some over when I needed to patch a hole(which I still need to get done :giggle:) So I have the paint in my laundry room

http://www.menards.com/main/paint/paint/interior-paint/contractor/conco-interior-flat-acrylic-water-base-wall-paint/p-1503624-c-8019.htm

But I can't find anything to clean the Poop off and the paint stays on the walls lol instead of its always removing paint leaving the poop!

Any one got any Ideas? I'd really like to wash the walls and NOT repaint them - the maintence men used this paint in my bathroom when they came to fix a crack in the wall around the tub - I couldn't smell it until I got to the bathroom doorway(and in the bathroom) but even with the exhaust fan on it stunk like paint in there for a good month and still even now 3-4 months later every now and then I get a whiff of the "fresh paint" when I'm in there.

I have been using this in my budgie and nursery room since they insist on covering everything with poop and food  I got it to use in the kitchen but ended up using it for the budgies http://www.babyganics.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=68 it works great and the poop comes right off, plus it does not have a bunch of chemicals in it like most cleaners do just natural stuff :)

I spray it on and let it sit for a minute or two then wipe it right off, I get it at walmart :)

I think you've mentioned you have Mango Pet Focus cleaner, right? I use that on my "wall poop" all the time (I have latex paint, too, and similar texture). I spray it on, give it 30 seconds or so to break down the poop and make it soft and mushy, then wipe it off with a paper towel. Repeat if a little remains.

Thanks I'll look for that. Is it in the normal cleaner isle or the baby isle?

I've tried that too just the paint comes off nothing else

I think it has a lot to do with How they've done these walls and not so much the paint itself - even though it plays a big part and They used Cheap O Paint but If you'd see my walls You'd wonder how on earth they ever got passed by an Inspector! you can tell where old wall registers used to be They just taped over them and painted over it, You can tell where they cut the drywall too short and had to "patch it" you can see ALL the tape from them taping the seams of the dry wall! it's really a sad pathetic thing to look at - the floor title are no better- I really think she just went around hiring any one who said "I know how to do that work" when they had NO clue what they were doing - like my doors are standard size - YET a standard size Screen door(she refuses to put them on but said I could) will NOT fit there is any where from 1/2" to probably 1" gaps all the way around the screen door Last summer we bought a pre made one all you add is hardware and a handle - It wouldn't fit took it back got a bigger one IT wouldn't fit right either finally got fed up and all summer i had a Redneck Screen door(by the way I'm a redneck so i was proud of my door lol) but we used extra strength Packaging tape and TAPED it to the frame of the door on the inside and outside! then took hook n eye screws and added 2 to one side to make a "hinge" and one to the other side to keep it shut When we finally did untapped it so we could go in and out that door. normal door hinges wouldn't work you can see day light all around my doors even when they come and put 3-4 layers of weather stripping around it - it looks more like a blind man remodeled this house not license contractors :(

I mean I am not contractor or even a Handy man type person BUT I could of done a whole lot better than them - Heck I have done better than them, When my kids dad and I were remolding a house his ex brother in law owned- we were supposed to move in- and I was pregnant and putting up dry wall and paneling and Ripping roofing down and scraping paint off the window panes I did 100xs better then these fools she hires do lol

Oh my goodness...your house sounds quite special...here's hoping you win the lottery one day and can build a brand new one...the right way. I hope the cleaner Lindsey suggested can remove that stubborn poo!

Foster and Smith carries POOP OFF which i use on the perches and wood frames of the aviary and other surfaces. Bird safe to spray near but not on the birds. I spray and wait a few minutes, then wipe and repeat as needed or rinse with dish soap an then water. We wash floors with dish soap and then rinse and then Spray with F-10 for disinfectant. It has been ok on painted surfaces but Your walls sound delicate so if you get some try it on a small spot to see effect.

Blessings,

I use baby wipes and it works like magic, too. I think I might have to try Lindsey's suggestion, though because with two under three still in diapers the wipes can get expensive. :o

Jo Ann - Ever since they changed poop offs formula I can't stand the smell of it It makes me ill.

Tamara- when the birds room was in the now living room I had thick Plastic (like painters use) taped and Thumb tacked to the walls - when we switched their room around to a bigger room my b/f swore I didn't need plastic because we could move the cages further away from the wall(the 1st room was too small to have them too far away from the wall) - Well he was wrong and I was right (imagine that A woman being right :giggle:)

Tiffanie - I know the feeling - well not with the babies as mine are grown but I use baby wipes to clean up my Baby birds I'm hand feeding - and use it on my Grey's cage(when he lets me) and even though I get them at the family dollar for like $2 bucks or so - I still buy them just as much and spend just as much on em' as I did when my kids were babies lol
