For you Twitter fanatics out there, we have a neat little addition to the site just for you! If you want to share a thread with all your friends and followers, you can now include a short URL to the thread in your tweet.

To get the short URL to a thread, just scroll to the top of the page and look directly above the first post. You should see a Short URL link. Copy that link and share it with the world! We have our own short domain: gotb.in, so there's no need to use bit.ly like all those other uncool sites. :P

When you use a short URL, there will be a short re-direct page, and then you'll be transferred to the thread. I know, the re-direct page is old school, but there's no way around it right now.

To test it to see if it really works, here are some sample threads. Take a trip down memory lane (or before most of you were members):

http://gotb.in/163

http://gotb.in/35

http://gotb.in/36637

When I click on the Short URL link, I get a warning from McAfee Site Advisor that says ; "Warning: Dangerous Site We tested this site and found it to risky to visit" and it's all in red. Any advice?

Get rid of McAfee is my advice.

Okay, that was probably very unhelpful... Any ideas Dave?

This is what it looks like:

I would guess that's because of the .in extension. Find a way to add the domain to the safe list.

Honestly,it's easier for me to not use them. Twitter will automatically shorten any link you post. Twitter is very simple to use. I'll just keep doing it the way I was before-thanks anyway.
