When I went to bed last night Spice was looking very bad. He was all puffed up and very still. This morning he was dead. I only had him a week but he spiced up my life in that short period of time. I am very sad. I don't think Sugar is going to get a friend as I don't think I can do this again. RIP Spice.

I am so sorry to hear about Spice. Even though you had this little one for only a short time, we can get so very attached to these little guys.

I too thought I would not be able to go through getting another budgie after Apollo died, but I actually found it helped somewhat. Knowing that I have a loving home to provide for a new little budgie offered me some comfort.

I have since lost Skyla and am probably going to lose Kiwi sometime very soon, which I dread immensely. However, I know that I have so much love to give to these little fellows that it is worth going through the pain of a loss.
