My newest budgie, Angel, has a deep blue cere, except for two little spots of pink, like, dark pink, right underneath his nares. Is this normal? He's a dominant pied, could it have something to do with the fact that he's adominant pied?

His cere may just be beginning to get the adult cere color. Males turn from a pink to blue, so I'm thinking the spots are just from that. :)
A picture would help though. ;)

We've had him for a couple of months, and I've been watching it closely, no change. Also, when I take pictures of it, the pink just turns into an overexposed white. I can try though.

You can kinda see the pink there.

I don't think it's something to worry about, unless it is a brownish. One of my males (coincedentally looks exactly like yours!) has the same thing!

No, it's not brown. A little bit brighter and it would be hot pink. I'm just wondering if it has anything to do with the dominant peid

Theres nothing to worry about Jessika.
If he's eating, playing and chirping then things are fine.

Thank you, but I already know he's a boy cute_coco. I just want to know why there are pink dots underneath his nares.
Carmine's a dominant pied and had the same thing. It took a few months for it to become all blue.
