Did you breed those budgies Bea,they are really cute...then were did you get Blinkie and Ozzie from?

Yup, they're last Spring's babies. :) Blinkie was bred from one of my pairs and Ozzie is from the pet shop.

omg your so lucky! i wish i lived somehwere hot so i could breed budgies and have an aviary. Send me one of them lol!

What do baby budgies (Without feathers) Feel like?
Really really soft and warm.:rolleyes: If you're inexperienced you shouldn't touch them until they're 2-3 weeks old and are covered in fluff though, they're extremely delicate when they're babies. :)

First baby pic = a few hours
Second = 6 days
Third = 2 1/2 weeks
Fourth = 3 weeks
Fifth = 4 weeks
Sixth = 5 weeks
Seventh = 6 weeks
Eighth = about 12 weeks

Yeah I know ive had 21 out of 9 clutches, Bea could you post some pictures of your pairs or Blinkie's parents,im thinking of getting one that looks exactly like Blinkie at the petsore is he a blue-clearwing?

My mom has a really strong sense of smell lol. She thinks the house will stink if we get more.

wow Bea, thanx he spongebob the (skyblue opaline) looks just my blue, do you think if I by the the female like Blinkie at the store would thay have the same colored babies as you did?Because my male is a SkyBlue Opaline and the female is a blue clearwing - like Blinkie because, I really like Blinkie?

If she's like Blinkie then she's a spangle, not a clearwing. And you wouldn't get the same coloured babies because the hidden genes of the parents will be different.

No, it's just quite risky handling them at such a young age. I didn't handle them so young until late last year and i started breeding budgies 3 years ago. It's just not a good idea.
