This is the story of how I got my budgies: (:budgie: A while ago, I was planning to get a parakeet sometime in late october, but I wanted to get the supplies first. So out of curiosity, this morning, I looked on craigslist for a not too used not too expensive adequate cage. I immeadiately found one and decided to get it. I drove to the meeting location and was told that the cage came with two pet budgies, because the owner already had too many birds. I instantly fell in love with the two of them and brought them back home :D. Now, I have to train them. Unlucky for me, the previous owner was a not a particular bird lover and prefered looking at birds rather than interacting with them, so now, the pair of budgies are about two years old and have almost never had a human hand inside their cage. This is also my first time owning a bird so I know that this will require lots of patience and caution.) Today, I put my hand inside the bird cage several times, slowly. At first, Comet and Star didn't react to well to it, freaking out and flying around their cage like maniacs. But now, they are slowly getting used to having my hand in their cage :) -wish me luck :)- I hope that soon I will have a pair of friendly and cuddly budgies.

This is great to hear, I'm glad you took them in. It would be fantastic if you could post some photos of Comet and Star and their cage set-up, I'm crazy for that stuff. :D Good luck in training them, and if you have any question make sure to ask. :)
