Urrrrr!!!Pleaz Help Blue is still sick!

I gave him the medication 3 days ago and he is stilll not better well his stool is not watery brown but he is still breathing weird,sleeping alot and puffed up:( The vet said to wait a 5 days but its already been 3 what else more could I do.He is eating and drinking.Should I possibly try to feed the medicine directly to him or keep puting it in his water.

follow the directions the vet gave you. I'm new here so I am not sure what the medication, but most antibiotics take 3 days to start working, so by 5 you would see improvement.

I just read your other post. wait the 5 days as directed & if you dont see improvement, call the vet back.

joey just follow the instructions as buuzbee says antibiotics dont kick in for a few days,hopefully then you will see an improvement.let us know how it goes.

I would call the vet, it could be necessary for Blue to be hospitalized. It sounds like he's getting worse rather than betters and as it goes with budgies, another two days could be too long. :(

Its been 4 days He is now staring to do the mating call.I moved him to a different room and he can hear the female in the other room and he started to chirp today...does that meen he is beter?and I also seen him eat the fresh seeds I gave him and I gave him some water Melon and some lettuce,and he ate it right away.He loves Water Melon,but he still is not very active he is still breathing wierd and sleeping alot...but has started to talk to his female girlfriend.I think he is recovering very slowly but...im not sure?
What do you guys think?

Blue seems better its been 4 days now and he started to do the mating call to the female in the other room.Does tha meen he is getting better.He also ate some Water Melon and green lettuce leaf...but he still is sleeping alot and breathing wierd and ruffled feathers....oh yeah and he also ate some fresh budgie seed today.He seems much more active if he sees my other budgiesauround him.
